A series of workshops on key factors that contribute to life success. This program is based on over 20 years of research conducted by the Frostig Center in Pasadena, California, which traced the lives of individuals with learning disabilities to identify factors that predict successful life outcomes. According to the research, the six success attributes (self-awareness, pro-activity, perseverance, goal-setting, support systems and emotional coping strategies) have shown a greater influence on life success than academic achievement, gender, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and even IQ. The research has statistically confirmed that successful persons are much more likely to have these attributes, and that their presence increases the chances for positive life outcomes. Life Success workshops will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 23rd through July 16th. Sessions for middle schools students will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon; sessions for high school students will run from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Cost for the series: $400 per student.
