Anthony Dean
BA, Classical Studies
College Counselor
Anthony reads applications the way admissions officers do, because for six years that was his job.
Anthony spent six years in undergraduate admissions at Kenyon College, in several roles including regional recruiter for the southwestern United States. He has read the applications, sat in the committee room, and watched which essays land and which ones sound like a parent wrote them.
He holds a bachelor's degree in classical studies from Denison University and taught at Granville High School before moving into admissions. He relocated to Savannah in 2025. Most of what he offers families is demystification: the process feels arbitrary from the outside and is not, and understanding how decisions actually get made lowers the temperature in a household considerably.
