Julie Hildreth

Julie Hildreth has taught and tutored mathematics for more than twenty years across public, private, and alternative school settings. She holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Georgia State University, and a Georgia Professional Educator Certificate in Middle Grades Mathematics. Over two decades, much of her work has centered on one-on-one and small group instruction with middle and high school students who have stopped believing they can do math.

Trained in Restorative Practices, Julie puts the student relationship first and the math second. She begins by finding out what a student genuinely understands, breaking down complex concepts into essential prerequisite skills, and strengthening foundational areas. Utilizing visual models, Desmos, manipulatives, and real-world examples, she creates an engaging, accessible learning environment. Between sessions, manageable self-checking practices sustain momentum and let students witness their own measurable growth.
